The official website of the live-action Ultraman saga began broadcasting a promotional video in his shop 109/2 on Friday. Like the previous trailer, the new video highlights the seven members of the group of women only AKB48 as Earth Defense Force "Team U" and the three heroes Ultraman, including BREAKERZ musician Daigo as Ultraman Zero / Taiga Nozomu.
The story of Ultraman saga begins when a mysterious alien invades Earth. Zero Ultraman, Ultraman Dyna, Ultraman Cosmos and come from outer space to join forces with humanity and restore peace.
Sayaka Akimoto acts as team leader U - Anna and the other members of AKB48 in the film are Umeda Ayaka (Misato), Sae Miyazawa (Sawa), Kana Kobayashi (Maomi), Yuka Masuda (Nonko), Haruka Shimada (Hina) and Sumire Sato (Riisa). Taiyo Sugiura acts as Ultraman Cosmos / Musashi Haruno, while Takeshi Tsuruno acts as Ultraman Dyna / Asuka Shin.
Ultraman saga will hit theaters across Japan on March 24 in 2D, for the first time in the franchise in 3D.
